A vigil is held outside the Brazilian embassy in London to pay tribute to murdered Rio de Janeiro councillor Marielle Franco. Marielle Franco was a gay black woman from a low-income background and a fierce critic of police brutality and racism. Her death has catalysed a global movement in defence of social justice and human rights (photo: Nick MacWilliam).
