A commemoration of 50 years since the military coup that changed Chile. This event brings together a screening of the new documentary ‘Chileans of the North’ by Chris Paul and the political songs of Chile and Latin America performed by Grupo Luma in one memorable evening.

The Q&A after the documentary screening will be chaired by Alborada co-editor Pablo Navarrete.

Grupo Luma’s concert is accompanied by a commissioned video piece by Pablo Navarrete, blending archives from Latin American political song, Chilean history and art, Alborada Films’ footage from across the region, and footage of Grupo Luma’s performances in Liverpool.

This event forms part of the Migration Matters Festival.
