Join us for our latest Alborada Online event.

Progressive candidate Gustavo Petro has won Colombia’s presidential election and will head the first leftist government in the country’s history. In a country scarred by political violence and gaping inequality, what are the prospects for human rights, social justice and peace? And what challenges will the new government face?

Speakers:

  • Andrei Gómez-Suárez – Senior Research Fellow at the Centre of Religion, Reconciliation and Peace of the University of Winchester and cofounder of Colombian peacebuilding organisation Rodeemos el Diálogo.

The waiting room will open 30 minutes before the event begins with a playlist of Latin American music.
