1. Alborada News & Events

> On Tuesday 25 March 2014 in London, Alborada Films will have their spring social at the lovely The Forge in Camden. From 6pm-midnight in the bar area Alborada DJs will be playing ancient to future Latin American beats and at there will be a special performance by Chilean guitarist Yuri Betancourt at 9.30pm. The Alborada Films documentary 'Chile's Student Uprising' will be shown at 7pm is a separate screening area. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film's producer Pablo Navarrete and Dr Victor Figueroa-Clark, LSE historian and author of 'Salvador Allende: Revolutionary Democrat' (Pluto Press), chaired by Ellie Mae O'Hagan (columnist for the 'Guardian' newspaper). This month we have two copies of 'Salvador Allende
Revolutionary Democrat' by Victor Figueroa Clark to give away.

This is a political biography of one of the 20th century’s most emblematic left-wing figures - Salvador Allende, who was president of Chile until he was ousted by General Pinochet in a US-supported coup in 1973.
